ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA)
The Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) is an agreement between ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam), Australia and New Zealand.
The Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) was signed in Thailand, on 27 February 2009 and amended under the First Protocol by Ministers on 26 August 2014. The First Protocol has now entered into force for all AANZFTA Parties, with Indonesia having notified Parties on 1 March 2019 that it has completed the domestic procedures necessary to bring it into force.
