Korea-Singapore Digital Partnership Agreement (KSDPA)
The agreement will deepen bilateral cooperation in the digital economy between both countries, by establishing forward looking digital trade rules and norms to promote interoperability between digital systems. This will enable more seamless cross-border data flows and build a trusted and secure digital environment for our businesses and consumers.
The agreement aims to support the growth of new economic activities, particularly in digital cooperation, and to expand cooperation in the digital economy. The agreement also seeks to establish transparent benchmarks to promote the growth and effective regulation of the digital economy, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the economic relationship between the Parties. Furthermore, it aims to build on the Parties' constructive roles in multilateral and regional fora on digital trade, while facilitating increased business-to-business and research links between them.
