Protocol to Establish and Implement the ASEAN Single Window (ASW Protocol)
The Protocol aims to establish a comprehensive framework for implementing the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) and National Single Windows (NSWs) as essential components of the ASEAN Economic Community. It aims to enhance coordination among ASEAN Customs Administrations, relevant ministries, and economic operators to ensure the effective implementation of the ASW. Additionally, it seeks to foster participation from economic operators while providing technical guidance for ASW and NSWs implementation in Member Countries, in alignment with the ASW Agreement and Technical Guide.
The ASW Protocol ensures the adoption of electronic data interchange (EDI) for seamless exchange of trade information, promotion of online submission and processing of trade documents, harmonization of data standards to facilitate interoperability, and the integration of the ASEAN Single Window with National Single Windows.
