Summary

The Additional Protocol to the CMR Convention concerning the Electronic Consignment Note (e-CMR) establishes the legal framework for using electronic consignment notes in international road transport. The protocol provides conditions under which electronic consignment notes are considered legally equivalent to paper-based versions, with the same evidentiary value and legal effects.
