Summary
The India-Korea CEPA is a comprehensive trade agreement that commits both countries to lower or eliminate import tariffs and expand opportunities for investments and services exchange. Regarding paperless trade, the agreement contains significant provisions including:
- Advanced electronic submission and processing of information before physical arrival of goods (Article 5.2),
- Express shipments facilitation (Article 5.5), Electronic submission and issuance of Certificates of Origin (Articles 4.3 and 4.4),
- Commitment to paperless trading systems development,
- Recognition of electronic trade administration documents.
