Summary

These ten non-binding principles guide the transition from paper-based to electronic trade documents. They address technology neutrality, data security, trust, interoperability, data privacy, reliability, voluntary data sharing, stakeholder collaboration, traceability, and scalability. The principles apply to commercial trade documents related to transport, payments, insurance, storage, and logistics services, aiming to reduce trade costs and facilitate MSMEs' access to global trade.
