Brief Summary

Uzbekistan’s issues electronic phytosanitary certificates through its own national system, the Automated Information System E-phyto.uz. Throughout 2020, Uzbekistan worked to integrate its own national system into the international ePhyto system of the IPPC.

Facilitate trade with the exchange of phytosanitary certificates using the IPPC ePhyto solution

b. Business need for the project (background)

Throughout 2020, the Department of Innovation and Digitalization and Export development Division teams have implemented the project of the Automated Informative System Ephyto.uz and began to introduce it into the national system for monitoring, inspection, issuing an internal and external phytosanitary certificate (FSS) and import quarantine permit (IQR). For this reason, they wanted to integrate the national system into the international ePhyto system of the IPPC.
